A: It’s like a first-aid superhero cape for your dog or cat — we cover injury-related vet bills so you don’t have to.
Q: Who provides this insurance?
A: It’s issued by ILAF Takaful, sold by Societas Insurance Broker, and managed by Exalgia (the claim-handling champs).
Q: Is this insurance for all vet visits?
A: Nope — only injuries are covered, not routine checkups, vaccines, or mood swings.
Q: What types of treatments are covered?
A: Emergency care, surgery, X-rays, hospitalization, and medication — for injuries only.
Q: Is medication included after an injury?
A: Yes! Painkillers and antibiotics are covered. Cheese treats, sadly, are not.
Q: How much can I claim per year?
A: Up to KD 1,500 per pet, per year (Platinum Policy) — whether for one big accident or a couple of smaller ones.
Q: Do I pay a deductible?
A: Zero deductible. Just like your pet pays zero rent.
Q: Which pets can be insured?
A: Dogs and cats only — sorry to your iguana, ferret, or emotional support pigeon.
Q: Is there a waiting period before coverage starts?
A: Yes — 24 hours after payment. Injuries before that? Not covered.
Q: Can I insure more than one pet?
A: Yes, but each pet needs its own policy slot.
Q: What’s not covered by this policy?
A: Pre-existing conditions, self-inflicted injuries, reckless owner behavior, routine care, non-approved clinics, and treatments outside Kuwait.
Q: Is pet death or illness covered?
A: No. The policy only covers non-fatal injuries — not illness or death from accidents.
Q: What counts as owner negligence?
A: Dangerous or reckless behavior like unsafe environments or letting pets fight lions — yes, really.
Q: Where can my pet get treated?
A: Only at the approved clinic listed in your policy.
Q: Can I get a second opinion at a different vet?
A: Sure, but it won’t be covered if it’s not the approved clinic.
Q: Is hospitalization included?
A: Yes, if it’s injury-related and done at the approved clinic — still within the KD 500 limit.
Q: How long is follow-up treatment covered?
A: Up to 2 weeks post-injury — then it’s back to regular life (and bills).
Q: How do I file a claim?
A: You don’t. The approved clinic bills Exalgia directly — no paperwork or waiting games.
Q: Can I get reimbursed if I already paid the vet?
A: No reimbursements. We only pay the clinic directly.
Q: How fast are claims settled?
A: Pretty fast — usually within a few days once confirmed.
Q: Can I upgrade or customize my coverage later?
A: Not at the moment — it’s a one-size-fits-all awesome deal.
Q: Can I cancel and get a refund?
A: The premium is non-refundable, even if your pet stays injury-free.
Q: Can I transfer the policy to a new owner?
A: No. Policies are tied to the original pet and owner.

A: For now, only cats and dogs are the rockstars — other pets may be added in the future.
